Alternative pop rock band Hello, Seattle performs at the B Side Ballroom in Oneonta, NY, on Dec. 11, 2013. SUNY Oneonta student bands Hello, Seattle and Somewhere Up There beat 11 other musical groups from several SUNY schools to take top places in the first two rounds of the 2013 SUNY Music Madness competition, and advanced to the final round.<br />

Hello, Seattle is a five-piece alternative pop rock band made up of SUNY Oneonta students Amy Maxwell (guitar/vocals), Frank Cicciarello (bass), Andrew Platt (drums), Jason Psanis (piano) and lead singer Kimberly Berg. The group started when Berg and Maxwell met in an audio production class in 2011. Their debut EP, titled “Writing in Reverse,” launched Hello, Seattle onto the local music scene in 2012. Since then, they’ve performed at OH-Fest8, and released their first full-length album, “Improper Greeting.”<br />
