A total of 20 SUNY Oneonta students—primarily education majors—volunteer to teach local elementary and middle school students during a series of enrichment seminars organized by the Catskill Area School Study Council, Nov. 1, 2014 at 10:49 a.m. In a Green Crafts workshop, Alyssa Miller and Meghan Macleod made turkeys. Layla Hallinan led a Babysitting session while Maddie Genco and Dana Glatzer led the Cool Science seminar. Elementary education major Erika Clerc tested a bottle rocket she made with students in a Myths and Misconceptions workshop. In all, 93 local students from fifteen area school districts participated in the four-week seminars.<br />
